| I am 25 years old, have lived in the same area pretty much my entire life (Sonoma County, Northern CA). I like being in the woods. Redwood trees, clear water and mountains make me giddy. I like exploring new cities with my dog. I am learning to embrace my inner nerd. I like video games and internet and outdoor activities equally. I love to write, and usually like to read. I don't watch a lot of TV (Lost, Burn Notice, Dexter, Scrubs, White Collar. That's about it). I like music that tells a story (just about any genre). I'm a big fan of Amanda Palmer and the Dresden Dolls, as well as The Builders and the Butchers, among others. I also really enjoy classic rock. I am equal parts optimist and pessimist (just a full glass). I tend to be very practical and level headed. My mother raised me well. I prefer cold days to hot ones, although I do enjoy being in the sun. I really don't like discussing politics, and prefer to avoid conflict when possible. I am a customer service extraordinaire. I have an empathy problem (too much). I love my family and my pets pretty much equally. I live with my boyfriend of 2 years (going on forever), four cats, two cockatiels and my beloved dog, Pepper (Pit Bull/Cow (like Moo) mix). I work at a Humane Society (since December 2003) in the Customer Care Department. We are the central hub for the shelter. We filter all the questions by phone and in person, take in and send out animals during business hours, and dispatch animal control calls for the county. This is my life's work. I wouldn't want to do anything else in it's place. |
